Updated Air Reservation Needs Including Frequent Flyer Information Print E-mail

As we have previously informed our clients, the new Secure Flight Program put forth by the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) and Transportation Security Administration (TSA), took effect this week.

 
Valid U.S. Passports Required Print E-mail

Effective June 1, 2009, Americans will be required to carry a valid U.S. passport for travel to Canada, Mexico and the Caribbean. The new rule applies to all travelers, whether you are flying over the border, driving to Canada or Mexico, or taking a cruise that stops in another country. Details about the rules can be found at the State Department’s website at travel.state.gov, then click on the Passports tab.

New Security Measures for Air Passengers Print E-mail
In compliance with procedures set forth by the Transportation Security Administration (TSA), effective May 1, 2009, airlines and travel agencies will need to provide a passenger's legal full name, gender and birth date in every airline reservation made.
 
Important information for non-U.S. citizens entering the United States Print E-mail
Visitors from approximately 34 countries visiting the U.S. for less than 90-days do not require a visa as they qualify for visa free entry under the U.S. Visa Waiver Program.
